yichiban

This restaurant is hard to miss with the queues stretching out from the restaurant all the way near the Kunikoya bookstore.  Located on the top floor of The Galleries Victoria, there is always a queue present, whether it is lunch, or for dinner – on any day of the week
Ichi Ban Boshi is renowned in Sydney for its ramen – and their menu makes clear of that fact by showcasing a variety of ramen in different flavours. There is even an option of adding corn, butter, or egg to top off the ramen for an extra $1.50 if the contents in the bowl of ramen wasn’t enough.
Besides their main specialty – there are also entrees to satisfy your hunger. The beef tataki would be a recommended entree – the beef here is probably one of the better tatakis.
The yakisoba omelette was generously fat and comes complete with “special sauce” as advertised on their menu. If you’re wondering what the special sauce is – don’t hold your breath – it’s just tomato sauce. But it does compliment well with the soft omelette wrapped around the fried yakisoba noodles.
