New Shanghai. Chatswood

This time we going to treat our self to some pastry goodness "Dumplings" soft or crispy on the outside and burst of juiciness in the inside. New Shanghai at Chatswood (Lemon Grove) they delivers all that and with a price that wont put a hole in your wallet or purse. there is two New Shanghai at Chatswood, one is at the Chatswood Chase shopping center and the other is at Lemon grove. We prefer the lemon grove one cos its just more casual and the tree is free. But if your are looking for sophistication and something more formal than the on a Chatswood chase is for you or simply try both to see which one rocks your boat.

Usually there are a lot of people waiting for a table, but we came at the right time, we got seated right away. there are many dishes in the menu to select from, noodles varieties, dumplings that are pan fried, deep fried, steamed or in soup, stir Fry's, cold dishes, soups and many more.

But we knew what we wanted, we ordered the restaurants famous pan fried dumpling, and pan fried buns, shallot pancakes and sour and spicy noodle soup. there is one more dish on the list we really wanted to ordered is the steam xiao long bao but we knew the two of us wont be able to finished all this.
The famous Pan fried Dumplings. $8.80

Shallot Pancake; $4.80

Sour and spicy noodle soup $8.80
Pan fried pork buns; $8.80

These are the Xiao Long Bao we would like to order

All these cost us in total $31.20 that a really good price for the amount we get and number of dishes we ordered. For a delicious meal and on that leave you going with a satisfied full stomach and a wallet with change and money left what more can we ask.

  1. Looking for Chinese cuisine that is not going to cost me much, well, looks like this is the place. I especially like dumplings, all the different types but is also curious about the taste of the shallot pancake and sour and spicy noodle soup. Have been to Mandarin Centre in Chatswood for some Chinese food already, out to look for more.
